Snowshoe hike accompanied by an instructor from the EVOLUTION 2 school
Take a break in nature. Get away from the ski area and go for a walk in nature on snowshoes accompanied by a mountain professional.
We offer full-day or half-day excursions depending on your level, your preferences, and the time you have available.
Wildlife, flora, local history... Discover the environment you are staying in from a natural and peaceful perspective with our passionate professionals.
SNOWSHOEING LEVELS
To help you choose the level of your snowshoe outing, here is a classification that takes into account the elevation gain, distance, and walking time. This classification is to be considered as a guide, bearing in mind that snow conditions (powder, firm snow, etc.) at the time of the outing may make the hike easier or more difficult. Feel free to discuss this with our advisors.
Hours: 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
➡️ Level 4 walks – Athletic ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Have you already been snowshoeing several times and are you athletic? You'll encounter several steep climbs. This walk is for you.
To give you an idea of the type of route:
🔝 Over 400m elevation gain 🥾 5 to 7 km ⏱ Over 5 hours of walking
Day trips (7 hours):
Chalet d'Orsière
Refuge Col du Palet - ski lift pass for pedestrians at extra cost (€16)
➡️ Level 5 walks – Very athletic ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Are you very athletic and already familiar with snowshoeing? You'll encounter many steep climbs. This walk is for you.
To give you an idea of the type of route:
🔝 Over 600m elevation gain 🥾 Over 7 km ⏱ Over 6 hours of walking 💪 Carrying a bag weighing 8 to 10 kg
Day trips (7 hours):
Grande Sassière Reserve
Le Monal via the Clou valley - ski lift pass for pedestrians at extra cost (€15)
Equipment
Warm and comfortable clothing for walking (avoid bulky jackets and opt for layers that can be added or removed)
Snow boots (ski boots and moon boots are not allowed, snowboard boots are allowed)
We provide snowshoes and safety equipment
A small backpack with snacks and something to drink
A picnic for day trips
Conditions of participation
Children aged 10 and over are welcome (8 and over for private tours)
A reasonable level of fitness is recommended
A minimum of 3 participants is required to guarantee the outing.
Organization and safety
The activity is supervised by a state-certified instructor.
The meeting point is our office in Val d'Isère. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure time.
A pedestrian pass is required for trips to Monal and Col du Palet.
The trip itinerary may be modified at the sole discretion of the guide.
